Delegating your calendar
Let an assistant, paralegal, or firm admin manage your calendar on your behalf.

What is delegation?
Calendar delegation lets another LeyApp user act on your calendar — viewing bookings, managing availability, or rescheduling consultations — without sharing your password or giving them full access to your account.
You stay the lawyer of record. Delegates only handle the operational side, and every action they take is logged and shown to clients as "on behalf of you."
The 6 permissions
- **View calendar** — see your weekly schedule and booked slots.
- **View bookings** — see booking details including client name and agenda.
- **Manage availability** — toggle working hours, mark time off, add holidays.
- **Manage bookings** — confirm, cancel, or mark no-show on your behalf.
- **Manage reschedules** — propose or accept reschedule requests for you.
- **View financials** — see earnings and invoices (useful for accountants).
Adding a delegate
Go to **Dashboard → Delegates** (or your firm's delegate settings if you're in a verified firm). Click **Add delegate**, enter the person's email, and pick which permissions to grant.
The delegate must already have a LeyApp account. They'll receive an email notification and the delegation will appear under "Lawyers I manage" in their dashboard.
Every action a delegate takes is labeled with the "on behalf of" banner so clients always know who did what. This is required by EGAE 2021.
Delegates from your firm
If your firm has receptionists or paralegals enabled in firm settings, they automatically get a predefined set of permissions across all members. You can still revoke or restrict specific delegates on your own calendar.
Revoking access
From the delegates page, click the trash icon next to any active delegation. Access is revoked immediately. Revoked delegations remain visible in your history for auditing purposes.
Activity log
Every action taken by a delegate — availability change, booking confirmation, reschedule — is recorded in the **Activity Log** at /dashboard/delegate/activity. You can review everything done on your behalf at any time.
