Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: February 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy governs your conduct when using the LeyApp platform. It applies to all users — clients seeking legal services and lawyers offering them. By using LeyApp, you agree to comply with this policy.
1. Scope
This policy applies to all interactions on the LeyApp platform, including but not limited to: creating and maintaining user profiles, searching for and contacting lawyers, booking and attending consultations, leaving reviews and ratings, communicating through the platform's messaging system, and any content you submit or publish.
2. Rules for Clients
Clients must: provide accurate personal information during registration; attend booked consultations or cancel with at least 24 hours' notice; communicate respectfully with lawyers and support staff; not request services for illegal purposes; not share or redistribute confidential legal advice received through the platform; pay for services through the platform's payment system (do not arrange off-platform payments to circumvent fees).
3. Rules for Lawyers
Lawyers must: maintain valid registration with their Spanish Bar Association (Colegio de Abogados); provide accurate and up-to-date profile information including colegiado number, specialties, and rates; respond to booking requests within the timeframe specified by the platform; comply with the Estatuto General de la Abogacía Española (EGAE 2021) and their bar's code of ethics; not solicit clients to move communications or payments off-platform; clearly disclose any conflicts of interest; maintain professional liability insurance as required by their bar association.
4. Prohibited Conduct
All users are prohibited from: creating fake accounts or impersonating others; submitting false, misleading, or defamatory reviews; using automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the platform without authorization; attempting to circumvent security measures or access other users' data; uploading malicious software, viruses, or harmful content; engaging in harassment, discrimination, hate speech, or threatening behaviour; spamming or sending unsolicited commercial communications; using the platform for money laundering or any financial crime; sharing other users' personal information without consent.
5. Content Standards
All content submitted to the platform (profiles, reviews, messages) must be: accurate and not misleading, respectful and professional, free from discriminatory or offensive language, compliant with applicable laws including GDPR, and not infringing on any third party's intellectual property rights.
6. Enforcement
Violations of this policy may result in: a warning notice, temporary suspension of your account, permanent account termination, removal of offending content, reporting to relevant authorities (bar association for lawyers, law enforcement for criminal conduct). LeyApp reserves the right to take immediate action without prior notice for severe violations that threaten the safety of users or the integrity of the platform.
7. Reporting Violations
If you witness behaviour that violates this policy, please report it to abuse@leyapp.es with as much detail as possible. We investigate all reports and take appropriate action. Reports can be made anonymously.
