What is rescheduling?
Rescheduling lets you change the date and time of an approved booking without cancelling it. Either the client or the lawyer can initiate a reschedule request.
This is useful when something comes up but you still want the consultation to happen. Instead of cancelling (and potentially losing fees), propose a new time that works for both parties.
How to reschedule
You can reschedule from the booking detail page on the web dashboard or the mobile app.
Steps to reschedule
- Open the booking you want to reschedule from your Bookings page
- Click 'Request Reschedule' (or tap it on mobile)
- Choose a new date, start time, and end time. Add an optional reason.
- Submit the request — the other party receives a notification
- Wait for them to accept or decline the new time

This walkthrough guides you through proposing a new time for an existing booking, from finding the reschedule button to submitting your request.
Reschedule rules
To keep things fair and prevent abuse, there are some rules around rescheduling.
Limitations
- Maximum 3 reschedules per booking — After 3 reschedule attempts, you'll need to cancel and create a new booking.
- Minimum 4 hours before — You can only reschedule if the current appointment is at least 4 hours away.
- One pending request at a time — You cannot send a new reschedule request while one is already pending.
Rescheduling preserves your booking and avoids cancellation fees. If the new time doesn't work for the other party, the original time remains unchanged — nothing is lost.
When someone reschedules on you
If the other party requests a reschedule, you'll receive a notification with the proposed new time. You can accept or decline from the booking detail page.
If you decline, the original booking time stays in place. If you accept, the booking is automatically updated to the new time and both parties are notified.
Include a brief reason when requesting a reschedule — it helps the other party understand and makes them more likely to accept your proposed time.
