Managing contacts on LeyApp
LeyApp gives lawyers the ability to manage who can book consultations with them through the block list feature. This helps maintain a professional and comfortable working environment.
If you experience inappropriate behavior, you can also report users to the LeyApp team for review.
How the block list works
The block list is a feature available to lawyers that lets them prevent specific clients from booking future consultations. Blocking is handled with care — the blocked client sees a neutral 'not available' message rather than being told they've been blocked.
This design protects both parties: the lawyer maintains control over their client list, and the client isn't confronted with a harsh rejection message.
How to block a client
- Go to the client's booking detail page or their profile
- Click the 'Block' option in the actions menu
- A gentle confirmation dialog will appear explaining what happens
- Confirm the block — the client is immediately prevented from making new bookings
Blocking is discreet. The blocked client will not receive a notification that they've been blocked. They will simply see the lawyer as 'not available' when trying to book.
What happens when someone is blocked
When a lawyer blocks a client, several things happen automatically.
Effects of blocking
- The client cannot book new consultations with that lawyer
- The lawyer's profile appears as 'not available' to the blocked client
- Existing approved bookings are not affected — they will proceed as scheduled
Unblocking a client
You can unblock a client at any time from your Settings page under Contact Preferences. Find the blocked client in your block list and click 'Unblock'. They will immediately be able to book consultations with you again.
Reporting a user
If you experience harassment, fraud, or any other inappropriate behavior, you can report the user to LeyApp's support team. Reports are reviewed by our team and appropriate action is taken.
To report a user, contact support at /contact with the user's name and a description of the issue. Include any relevant booking references.
False reports may result in action against the reporting account. Only report genuine cases of misconduct, fraud, or inappropriate behavior.
