## Overview

You can delete your LeyApp account yourself, on the web or in the mobile app. Deletion is not immediate: your account is deactivated straight away and permanently erased 30 days later. Until then you can restore it.

## How to delete your account

1. Go to Settings → General → Profile and choose Delete account. In the mobile app, the option is in your account settings.
2. Read what happens and, if you want, download a copy of your data first.
3. Confirm it's you: enter your password, or, if you sign in with Google or a passkey, a 6-digit code we email you. If you use two-factor authentication, you need to have verified it in this session.
4. Confirm. You are signed out on every device and we email you a link to restore your account.

## When you can't delete yet

- You have bookings that are still open, a payment being processed, a refund still settling, or an open complaint or payment dispute. Finish or cancel the bookings, or contact us about the complaint or dispute.
- You are a lawyer with payouts still pending, chat invoices not settled, or paid inquiries waiting for your reply.
- You own a firm or organisation, or are its only admin. Transfer ownership or add another admin first.
- You sponsor bookings and a sponsorship is still active. End it first.

## The 30-day restore period

During the 30 days your account is inactive: you are signed out everywhere, API keys and connected apps stop working, and a lawyer profile is hidden from search and cannot be booked. People you dealt with see "Account closed" instead of your name.

To restore your account, simply sign in and choose Restore my account, or use the button in the email we sent you. We also remind you 7 days and 1 day before the deletion date. After restoring, sign in again on your other devices and create new API keys if you need them.

> **Warning**
> Didn't ask for this? Restore your account from the email or by signing in, then set a new password straight away. If your email address was changed in the 7 days before the request, we also notify the previous address. Support can restore an account during the 30 days after checking your identity.

## What is erased and what is kept

After 30 days we erase your name, email address, phone number, username, profile photo, verification documents, saved payment methods and devices, and we send you a final email. This cannot be undone. You can create a new account later, but past bookings and invoices will not be linked to it.

We keep only what the law requires: booking, payment and invoice records for 6 years (Spanish Commercial Code, art. 30), linked to an anonymous account. Invoices keep the name and tax details they were issued with. Chat messages are kept for up to 5 years for the defence of legal claims. People you dealt with see "Deleted user".

Lawyers you consulted are responsible for their own case records and keep them under their professional duties. Deleting your LeyApp account does not delete those records.

> **Tip**
> Want a copy of your data before you go? Use Download my data in Settings → General → Profile.
